Sophie Mosberger

Theatre Designer

Sophie Mosberger graduated from The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2007 with a distinction in Theatre Design.

Sophie is a 2007 Linbury Prize finalist, and winner of the Royal Opera House Bursary, where she worked on The Minotaur, composed by Harrison Birtwistle.

Designs include Anna Karenina (Bristol Old Vic), Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet (Brewhouse Theatre), Casa Latin American Theatre Festival and Sweeney Todd (Union Theatre), costume design for Just So (Arcola Theatre and Trafalgar Studio), costume design for The Last Pagan (short film), Amahl and the Night Visitors (St Alban’s Chamber Opera), Studies for a Portrait (Oval House Theatre), Last Days of Gilda (Arcola Theatre), The Winter’s Tale and Pedal Pusher (Theatre Delicatessen, site specific, Edinburgh Festival, and Maihaugsalen Theatre, Norway), Fuente Ovejuna (Southwark Playhouse), costume design for The Yalta Game (Leicester Curve), Stories You Wouldn’t Tell Your Parents (site specific, IdeasTap award for innovation in theatre), Frida Kahlo:Viva La Vida (UK tour, Ostrava International Puppetry Festival and Electric Theatre, Los Angeles), Les Nuits d’été and Le Portrait de Manon (Royal Opera House Linbury Theatre), Die Zauberflöte (Longborough Festival Opera), Timeless Tales (London Arts Orchestra at Christ Church Spitalfields), Bastien und Bastienne and Mozart and Salieri, (Royal Opera House Linbury Theatre).
